About Us

MELODY Music Outreach is run by high school students in the California Bay Area. Our mission is to spread the joy of music-making through instrument petting zoos to kids in the community, especially those that lack access to music education.

Founder

My name is Miela, and I started MELODY music outreach to expose children and their families to the benefits of musical instruments through instrument petting zoos. I've been playing the violin for 9 years and the viola for 3, and I am the viola mentor for the Lamorinda Community Orchestra and play viola with the Young People's Symphony Orchestra.

Hi! My name is Lauren and I am a senior at Acalanes High School. This is my 9th year playing the violin and I also play some piano! I play in the Acalanes High School Orchestra and am a violin coach with the Lamorinda Community Orchestra.
